HOLY MOLY!

Your Pet is OVER 40 YEARS OLD!

Hard to believe, we know, but it’s true… your pet is over 40 years old, at least in pet years!

Your buddy may seem young and vibrant, but like anyone hitting middle age, changes occur that aren’t easy to see. Not only is the normal aging process hard enough, but because dogs and cats don't brush their teeth very often, Dental Disease has become the scourge of middle age.

This includes plaque, tartar, calculus, gingivitis and periodontal disease. Not only is it painful and causes bad breath, but numerous studies have found a direct causal relationship between dental disease, kidney disease, liver disease and heart disease. Bacteria in the mouth and under the gums gets into the bloodstream by being inhaled, swallowed, or through small cuts in the gums. Keeping your pets’ teeth clean will help lead a longer healthier life!

The other problems we encounter as pets age are kidney insufficiency, liver disease, and cardiac disease. All these problems can be totally undetectable by you or even by us without some sophisticated tests. Most pets are stoic and will not show signs of a problem until it is already well advanced. We must detect problems before they reach this stage to ensure that we can do everything possible to stop the budding problem, or even reverse it. We have put together a special Dental & Senior Package which is only available during February and March.

It includes a

  • Full Comprehensive Physical Examination
  • Senior Blood Screen
  • Chest X-Ray
  • Electrocardiogram
  • ERD (Early Renal Detection) test
  • Fecal examination for parasites
  • Urinalysis
  • Dental Scaling with polishing including Anesthesia with pulse-oximeter and cardiac surgical Monitoring
  • Antibiotics and Probiotics.

The normal cost for these tests and procedures would be over $1000. For this period of time only (thru a special arrangement with our lab) we can offer this package for only $495, which translates into a savings of more than $500 for you and possibly years of extra health for your pet. This package does not include any extractions, dental x-rays or periodontal work-if needed, the cost will be additional.

If we find that your pet doesn’t need dental work, the above program without dentistry, would be considered a Senior Health Workup and will cost $395.

We strongly urge you to take advantage of this offer now, before it expires on April 15, 2010. The information we glean from the Workup can literally add years to your pets life.

To participate,

  • All pets must be up to date on vaccines (excluding Lyme vaccine for dogs)

  • All cats must be tested for FeLV and FIV within the past year, or tested previously and vaccinated on a continual basis. If not, we must re-test for FeLV at an additional cost.

  • All dogs must have tested negative for Heartworm within the past two years and be currently on Interceptor or Heartgard. If not, a Heartworm test will need to be administered.

In the past, we have limited this offer to our existing clients. This year, if you have a friend who has a senior dog or cat who could benefit, we will give them the same package with only the additional charge of $80 for the doctor’s consultation. And as a thank you for the referral, we will credit your account for 10% of whichever package they get.

We know that times are tough, but we don’t want anyone to have to postpone veterinary care because money is tight. We hope this special offer will make it a little easier to help your pet and his older friends enjoy their senior years! Sincerely,

Phillip Raclyn, DVM CVA Steven Kasanofsky, DVM CVA
